Molly Nelson brings more than 15 years of experience in museums and collections management, working with major institutions and advising on strategy for museums, universities, and corporate collections. She has held positions at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, MoMA PS1, MCA Chicago, and the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, and spent over a decade at Sotheby’s, where she managed large-scale collections and institutional relationships, most recently serving as Assistant Vice President in the Museum and Corporate Art Group.

In addition to her work with del Rio | Byers, Molly serves as Lead Curator at Arts + Literature Laboratory, an interdisciplinary arts center, where she oversees the exhibition program and leads initiatives supporting emerging artists and community-driven curation. She holds a BA in Art History and Museum Studies from Beloit College and an MA in Library and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where her studies focused on book history and women’s artistic labor in nineteenth-century bookbinding.
