Maya Sampath is a cultural researcher and collections professional with hands-on experience in museum collections research, object-level documentation, and inclusive curation practices. She is currently a Collection Specialist at del Rio | Byers — a museum and art advisory serving cultural institutions across North America.

Prior to her current role, Maya supported collections work at a local Connecticut Historical Society, where she carried out exhibition planning, artifact cataloging, condition reporting, provenance research, and archival investigation using primary sources. Maya holds a B.A. in Anthropology with a Minor in Cross-Cultural Communication from The George Washington University, complemented by academic study at the University of Edinburgh and the American University of Paris. Her international background informs a globally minded, culturally responsive approach to collections work.
