Our Team

Hannah is a transformational arts and culture leader with wide ranging experience, from art museum programming and strategy, collection building, public art, the art market, to overall project management. With nearly 70 exhibition and museum planning projects completed in 20 countries to date, Hannah has a remarkably expansive knowledge of museum buildings, collections, staffing, and their wider communities. This valuable context allows her to draw meaningful comparisons, driving successful strategies for mission-aligned growth in terms of collection stewardship, program development, partnerships, and evolving operating model.
Since the beginning of her 25 year career, Hannah has been focused on museums and collections as reflections of regional identity and aspirations. Building on a MA in Museum Studies, and a PhD focused on museum/collection building during the early Soviet period, Hannah has worked in Curatorial, Exhibition Management, and Special Projects departments at museums that include The Phillips Collection, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and the State Hermitage Museum. Hannah was a contributing author to exhibition catalogues including Impressionist Still Life Painting and Georges Rouault and the lead author of the Guggenheim Helsinki Feasibility Study and Managing Director of the BMW Guggenheim Lab, a global co-initiative aimed at the creation of forward-thinking ideas for urban life, providing leadership on all aspects of programs and operations, architecture, staff, and communications.
As Vice President of Museum Services at Sotheby’s, Hannah worked closely with over 130 North American museums on shaping and refining their collections. She oversaw an annual budget of nearly $1.5M in sponsorship for over 100 museum programs and events intended to spark new forms of engagement. She has worked on collection strategy projects for museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Portland Museum of Art, the Newark Museum of Art, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Denver Art Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario, among many others.
Hannah also serves as the part-time Director of Strategic Partnerships for ArtBridge, a NY non-profit that converts building sites and disused urban spaces into cultural assets. She previously served as Board Chair where she was responsible for securing corporate sponsors including Facebook and Google. Other board roles include the Smithsonian’s Archives of American Art, the Advisory Board of the Finnish Cultural Institute of New York, as well as two years serving as Co-Chair of the Association of Art Museum Curators’ annual conference.
